We are excited to continue to grow our Weston F.C Academy Program in Spring 2024!
Q. What is Weston F.C. Academy?
Players who are selected as a part of the top 2 teams for the 3/4 Girls and 3/4 Boys will be coached by professional coaches for their BAYS season.
Q. How does selection work?
A. Families will opt in on Adminsports by Friday, December 22nd in order for their child to be considered for the selection of the Academy program.
Q. What is the demand of Weston F.C Academy?
A.
- 3 practices/week. 2 weekday practices determined by coach/es & Sunday morning.
- Saturday BAYS games.
- Memorial Day Tournament
Q. Is this the same cost of the current BAYS program?
A. No, this will be a premium cost. Fall 2023 - $650. (Subject to change for Spring 2024).
Q. What if I opt my child in to play for the Academy team but they do not make it?
A. They will be placed on the appropriate BAYs team. In addition, they can partake in Weston F.C development as a supplemental means of training with professional coaching.
Q. What if my child is a top team player, but I DON'T opt them in to play for the Academy team?
A. They will be placed on the appropriate next level BAYs team.
Q. If my child is selected for the Academy team, how will I be charged the difference?
A. An invoice will be sent via Adminsports.
Q. Should I register for BAYS now?
YES! If your child is selected to an Academy an invoice will be sent at later date.
Families who want their child considered for the Academy program should register for "Spring BAYS '24" and "Spring '24 Weston Academy (OPT IN)"
Commitment Policies:
- All players will be expected to attend at least 60% of practices. (Religious Holidays Excluded). We strongly encourage players to attend all practices in order to enhance player development and teamwork. Failure to meet these requirements could affect playing time.
- All players will be expected to attend 80% of games (including tournament weekends). If players miss more than 20% of games playing time may be affected. (Religious Holidays Excluded) We strongly encourage players to attend all games in order to enhance player development and teamwork.
- We have established these guidelines so that players and teams are all treated fairly. It is not fair for a team to have a player or group of players that are only available for a limited number of practices or games. This does not promote teamwork or honor the commitment made to the Academy, Coach, Players, or Parents.
